Technique

Analyzing the athlete’s technique is often needed to determine specialized strength exercises that are included in the program to enhance his or her performance. The analysis if done effectively, it should show which aspects of the technique are in need of improvement or correction and which aspects may need enhancement.

I if some stock specialized strength exercises are not available it will be necessary to create new ones so that they are in the 1 x 20 program to make the necessary adjustments. The core of the program however will be directed to overall strengthening of the joints and associated muscles ligaments and tendons.

For the average high school athlete the corel work usually consists of about 80% of his total work out and 20% is devoted to specialized strength exercises. Specialized strength exercises should never be omitted as they can be used for learning or correcting technique as well as enhancing the athlete skill execution.
