In this book Dr Yessis delves into the major body actions used in producing force in all hits. He explains in detail the three actions that produce up to 80% of the total force produced in hitting. These actions are explained in detail using the major sports that require hitting such as baseball, golf, tennis and MMA/boxing.
Also looked at are less force producing actions that when combined with the major actions, produce the total force seen in the hit. The more these actions are learned and perfected the more successful you will be at hitting and you will also have greater accuracy.
Dr. Yessis is capable of doing this because of his expertise in biomechanics and exercise science. He has served as training and skill execution consultant to several Olympic and professional sports teams. He has developed the potential of hundreds of athletes through skill execution analysis and the use of unique specialized strength exercises.
Incorporated into these methods is the 1 x 20 strength training program that he created.
